Being a huge fan of ColdFusion (though there was a time I jumped ship) I may be somewhat biased, but I know what will earn me the most money in the least amount of time. Since the acquisition of Macromedia, Adobe has provided web developers with some fantastic technologies.
If you're a ColdFusion developer, these technologies are easily merged together to allow you to build fantastic client/server applications. If you don't use ColdFusion, these technologies are easily merged into client/server applications regardless of your backend. Adobe is providing all web developers the tools needed to rule the web and most of these tools come at little to no cost to the developer.
It seems that Adobe's plan for the web is not unlike their plan for print media. Adobe is a company with a vision to the future and a hindsight to the past.
So, yes, I am an Adobe FanBoy.
